Aris and Illiana are taken aback when Kaz, Illiana's husband, shows up at the station with alarming news about a gathering Grey armada. As Starfleet gears up to confront the looming danger, Captain Knapp finds himself relieved of his position aboard the Excelsior. Meanwhile, a Board of Inquiry is set to evaluate his actions related to the damage the Excelsior sustained while saving Traya during the events of HF 2.07 - "Fire In The Heart."
