Episode Overview
The airship arrives at Trick Tower, the site for Phase Three, a towering, featureless structure on a high platform. The candidates learn they must descend from the top to the base to succeed in this phase. One experienced climber attempts the descent but is quickly devoured by flying creatures. Later, Kurapika notices that many candidates have found hidden doors leading into the tower, and Gon uncovers one too. However, each door can only be used once and accommodates just one person, forcing them to split up. They soon discover that regardless of the door they choose, they all end up in the same room. Inside, Gon's group receives instructions and special wristwatches, but they must have a fifth member to progress, as Lippo, one of the examiners, explains their choice to follow majority rule.
