Episode Overview

While riding his bike down a snowy country road, Ken takes a tumble, damaging it and leaving him in need of a new rear suspension. His neighbor, Ben Gibbs, steps in to help by transporting the bike in his horsebox. After making several unsuccessful calls, Ken finally contacts Alpha Bikes, a repair shop owned by Narain Singh and his nephew Ranjit, who can source the parts. Narain allows Ken to use his workshop for repairs. One evening, Ken overhears a heated argument between Ranjit and his wife Surinder. After Ranjit threatens her, Surinder flees, and she and Ken escape on one of Narain's bikes. Harry, albeit reluctantly, agrees to let her stay in a spare room at The Grand. When Ken returns the bike to Narain, he offers to help bring Surinder back, revealing Ranjit's abusive behavior.
