Title: Smokey and the Band Plot: Harry is on the lookout for a lively act to entertain guests at the Coaching Inn. He consults Frankie Bass, a theatrical agent, who suggests a Country and Western group called Bronco Billy's Boys. Harry decides to hire them directly to avoid paying Frankie's commission. Meanwhile, Ken finds himself smitten with Bebe McLintock, the band's provocative lead singer, after he helps them out when their vehicle breaks down en route to the inn. Frankie later appears, demanding her cut of the profits. Tension arises between Bronco and Bebe as she feels stifled and unappreciated, leading her to leave the band and spend the night with Ken. Although she contemplates a new life with him, her marriage to Billy pulls her back to the band when he promises her the spotlight and creative freedom.
