On April Fool's Day, Mama's mood is as sour as ever. Bubba kicks off the pranks with a hand buzzer, followed by Vint startling her with a fake snake. Before heading out, Naomi gets in on the action by sticking a sign on Mama’s back, which Iola hilariously discovers. The pranking escalates when Iola presents Mama with a "lemon sponge cake," which turns out to be just a lemon and some sponges. Amid all this chaos, Mama is eagerly anticipating the golden troll award. However, her family decides to skip yard work for a day at the lake. Just as they receive news that they’ve won the award, Mama is skeptical and refuses to believe it.
