Episode Overview
Mama and Iola are busy creating a quilt for an upcoming contest when Iola remarks on how quiet the house has become. Just then, Vint and Naomi return home from visiting a friend who recently welcomed a baby girl, sparking Naomi's desire to start a family of her own. Mama firmly opposes the idea and makes her feelings known to Vint. Undeterred, Mama devises a plan to show them the realities of parenthood by offering to babysit a neighbor's baby, known for his high-pitched cries. However, Vint and Naomi decide to work late, leaving Mama to handle little Garth. Despite her efforts to soothe him, every noise in the house sends him back into a fit. Exhausted, Mama finally drifts off to sleep just as Vint and Naomi walk in.
