Catweazle (1970)

Episode Overview

Back at the house, Catweazle becomes alarmed by the whistling kettle, mistaking it for a demonic presence. He quickly ducks under the dining room table, drawing a protective chalk circle around himself and reciting the incantation "sator arepo tenet opera rotas" while blowing on his magic thumb ring. Meanwhile, Carrot's father, sensing the same unusual odor he detected in the barn the previous night, tries to lure Catweazle out. He intentionally knocks something off the table and heads to the kitchen for cleaning supplies. As Catweazle attempts to escape, he narrowly avoids being seen by farmhand Sam and retreats to Carrot's bedroom. After finding the chalk stain on the carpet, Carrot follows the scent to his room, discovering Catweazle hiding in his wardrobe. Impressed by how Carrot finds him, Catweazle eagerly asks to learn about the "magic of electrickery."
