To help an overburdened father connect with his son, Roarke turns banker Louis Burton into Max's beloved superhero, Dyno-man. While Max is thrilled to see Louis save the Earth from a meteor, he quickly realizes that Louis is just as consumed by his superhero duties as he was by his banking job, leaving Max feeling sidelined once more. Meanwhile, Roarke facilitates a reunion for Gina Williams and her old friend Doug Strickman, hoping to spark some romantic potential between them. However, Gina discovers that Doug has transformed into someone quite different from the person she once knew, thanks to her absence.
