This Old House (1979)

This Old House ventures to London for its inaugural international project. Our host connects with homeowners Jeremy and Carla Vogler—an American and an Australian couple—while our master carpenter checks in with their British contractor, David Booth, at one of his work sites. Accompanied by their realtor, we explore two other flats the Voglars contemplated before choosing the unfinished top floor of a 1850s townhouse, which they intend to renovate and modernize. Later, our host meets with an architect to discuss the required planning permissions for modifying the mansard roof and adding a roof deck.
