This Old House (1979)
S15E24 The Honolulu House - 6
Episode Overview
The episode begins at Aloha Tower, a structure from 1921 currently undergoing a revitalization by the same team behind Baltimore's Harborplace and Boston's Faneuil Hall. Here, our host observes termite ground treatment, while our master carpenter works on the vestibule, skillfully using a coping saw to trim poplar wood. Next, we head to a woodworkers' co-op where Christiane's built-in entertainment center is being crafted from native koa wood, complete with a rack-and-pinion TV lifter. The house's security system is assessed, and our host then tours architect Norm Lacayo's latest venture, Harbor Court, a mixed-use skyscraper located along Honolulu's waterfront.
