Episode Overview
In the final days of their Hawaiian adventure, our host kicks off the episode in Kalapana on the Big Island, where a 1992 lava flow from Kilauea volcano had devastated much of the town and its renowned black sand beach. At the home, landscaper John Mitchell and his team are busy planting, setting up an in-ground irrigation system for the new greenery. Inside, Rob Varner showcases the new sisal-like wool carpet in the addition, along with the newly installed track lighting and fans in the studio. Decorative painter Angela Adams is working on a tropical design in the powder room, while the crew checks out the imu (pit) where the luau pig will be cooked. The following day, Christiane gives our host a tour of her new kitchen, leading him into the master suite. In the living room, the master carpenter oversees the installation of a room divider that will also serve as a TV box. The episode culminates in a festive luau, celebrating everyone
