Our host heads to a historically accurate eight-color paint project west of Boston, guided by SPNEA’s Andrea Gilmore. Andrea visits Lauren Gallant's Belmont home to discuss her paint color options. Meanwhile, the guys assess the porch’s trim details, which have suffered from shoddy repairs over the years. They refer to a turn-of-the-century architectural pattern book to deduce what the original design might have looked like. Richard Trethewey assists plumber Maura Russell with the PVC piping in the new laundry room, and later, he and our host connect with plumber Christine Ernst in the basement.
