This Old House (1979)
S19E06 The Milton House - 6
Episode Overview
It’s an exciting day on the construction site as the structural insulated panels for the new workshop are lifted into position. These panels, along with a large engineered lumber ridge beam, will create the workshop’s framework, featuring openings for windows, doors, and skylights. We explore various metal roofing options to top off the building. Meanwhile, our host visits furniture and finishes restorer Robert Mussey at his workshop, then brings him back to the house for tips on maintaining the historic pine paneling. Landscape architect Tom Wirth also consults with Milton town civil engineer Jim Greene about relocating the driveway and any potential wetland concerns.
