Episode Overview
The This Old House team heads to Eastern Lamejun Bakery, a historic Middle Eastern grocery store, to gather lunch supplies, located in an area known for its large Armenian community. Meanwhile, at the jobsite, Augustin Crookston and his team work on installing copper gutters and downspouts, while homeowners Sue Denny and Christian Nolen dig through a dumpster in search of valuable mosaic tiles that were accidentally discarded during cleanup. The episode also features a visit to the Kennecott Utah Copper facility in Salt Lake City, showcasing the intricate process of extracting pure copper from ore. Back at the house, floorman Pat Hunt and his crew restore the original quartersawn oak flooring and add new matching material. Finally, the team puts in the quartersawn oak wainscot crafted by our master carpenter from the New Yankee Workshop.
