Dan ascends the newly erected scaffolding to survey the overcast cityscape and talk about installing a roof deck on the building's hip roof. Meanwhile, host Steve Thomas delves into the process of filling a flue channel, an important structural feature, before checking in with preservationist Rory Brennan about the condition of the plaster. Richard takes Heather to a local plumbing salvage yard, hoping owner Fran Fahey will trade a classic clawfoot tub and pedestal sink for some fancy radiators that are no longer needed. The basement renovation reaches a key milestone as the new floor is poured, and Tom and Dan quickly get to work framing the new rooms.
