Meanwhile, custom pool specialist Bob Snay is busy adding a sleek black pebble surface to the new water feature's base. Inside, general contractor Tom Silva supervises the installation of striking steel stairs. Kevin explores the custom metal shop that crafted the steel and the eye-catching bronze "wishbone" balustrade set to be added soon. Reclaimed wood specialist Richard McFarland presents Kevin with samples from around the globe, as Tom's crew works on the exterior redwood siding sourced from large olive casks. Plumbing and heating guru Richard Trethewey updates Kevin on the progress, noting the arrival of the new boiler, installation of radiant panels beneath the first floor, and the setup of PEX water supply lines.
