Episode Overview
On the eve of the wrap party, master carpenter Norm Abram and host Kevin O'Connor explore the Jefferson Memorial. Architect Genell Anderson shares the archival image that inspired her roof turret design with Norm, who then meets roofing contractor Tony Constantino to assess the project's progress. The selected materials are low-maintenance, featuring synthetic slate roofing, high-density urethane cornice, and a gleaming copper finial, all sanctioned by the historic board. In the parlor, Norm adds protective wax to the newly-refinished mantle. Meanwhile, garden designer Kevin Cordt transforms the backyard with teak furniture and vibrant annuals, creating an urban retreat. The following day, Norm finds general contractor Mahyar Mahvi perfecting an intricate tile medallion at the entrance while his team wraps up final touches.
