Homeowner Chris Flynn gives master carpenter Norm Abram a tour of her makeshift third-floor bathroom. General contractor Tom Silva explains the importance of replacing her outdated basement windows, while host Kevin O'Connor assists in their installation within the existing frames. In the basement, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey introduces Norm to a new stainless steel double-wall chimney designed for venting heating equipment, offering a safer alternative to direct vent oil appliances. Meanwhile, Kevin visits developer David DuBois, who transformed an 1865 East Boston firehouse into a lavish dream home. Tom demonstrates to homeowner Liz Bagley how to insulate behind her plaster walls with spray foam, using small openings to minimize disruption.
