Episode Overview

In this episode, host Kevin O'Connor takes landscape contractor Roger Cook on a tour of Austin's scenic Town Lake. Meanwhile, at the project house, eco-friendly builder Bill Moore explains his techniques using a French drain and moisture barrier to help lower the water table and stabilize the home's foundation. Inside, Kevin discovers the arrival of reclaimed flooring from Virginia, the installation of new French doors, and the fitting of sustainable MDF and Lyptus kitchen cabinets. At the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Roger and homeowner Michael Klug explore innovative uses for native plants in landscaping.
