This Old House (1979)

Episode Overview

In this episode, host Kevin O'Connor teams up with general contractor Tom Silva to inspect some peculiar and poorly constructed framing found in the kitchen ceiling. They decide to stabilize and level the entire ceiling using angle iron, a laser level, and several new LVLs. Kevin then journeys to Long Island, New York, where architect Russell Versaci shares insights into the roots of the Dutch Colonial Revival architectural style. Meanwhile, in Newton Centre, master carpenter Norm Abram spearheads the framing of the first floor platform for the upcoming addition.
