Host Kevin O'Connor arrives to observe the ongoing exterior work at the front of the house, while contractor Tom Silva skillfully applies an acrylic stucco system to seamlessly integrate the new basement addition with the existing poured concrete of the walkout basement. Inside, Kevin is joined by Chris Kimball from America's Test Kitchen to review the finalized kitchen layout and discuss its pros and cons. Outside, Kevin finds Tom on the roof, taking care of waterproofing the junction between the flat and pitched roofs of the new entryway. Meanwhile, insulation expert Tony Trigler and his team are busy installing four types of insulation throughout the home, including eco-friendly batt insulation, cellulose, and both open and closed cell spray foam.
