Episode Overview
Margo Lange, a renowned actress, is in one of Maxwell's productions, prompting Fran to don a gardener's disguise for some covert observation. However, she’s caught by Mr. Sheffield, and in a mishap, drenches Margo, revealing her iconic mole. Fran takes her mother to the doctor, where Cindy Adams, the gossip columnist, overhears their conversation about the mole being fake and broadcasts it, leading Margo to withdraw from the play. To make amends with Maxwell, Fran proposes selling fake moles online with Margo, but the plan derails when Maxwell inadvertently spills the idea to Mel Brooks, who claims it for himself. In an attempt to seek forgiveness, Maxwell proposes to Fran, but she declines, not wanting to marry out of guilt—yet this time, he genuinely means it.
