Episode Overview

Ray played football at Baylor University from 1984 to 1988 before entering the NFL draft in 1989. He earned two Super Bowl rings in 1998 and 1999 as a key player for the Denver Broncos. Over his fourteen-year career, he also played for the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs. Now, Ray lives with his wife April and their three children: 20-year-old Joi, 13-year-old Ray Junior, and 7-year-old Darryl. He works as a real estate developer while coaching Ray Junior’s football team. In 1991, Ray witnessed a tragic moment on the field when his teammate Mike Utley became paralyzed from the chest down, an experience that deeply impacted him and inspired his participation in 30 Days.
