Episode Overview

After a disagreement drives a wedge between the Palmers and the Heffernans, Doug and Carrie decide to retaliate by looking for new friends. Unfortunately, their hunt proves fruitless, leading them to settle for a pair of acquaintances they can’t stand. During a dinner with these less-than-ideal friends, they unexpectedly encounter another couple who are part of a book club with their irritating companions. Doug and Carrie find themselves enjoying the company of this new duo—at least until they finally track down the new couple's contact information.
