Episode Overview
The team travels to the Fort of Fenestrelle in Turin, Italy, where they will face the challenge of ascending 4,000 steps to reach their investigative location. The fortress houses a prison notorious for the deaths of hundreds, including a man condemned to wear an iron mask as punishment for his misdeeds. Locals are convinced that his spirit haunts the prison and the fortress, with one witness claiming to have encountered the ghost with glowing red eyes. In the officer's prison, rumors swirl that this masked man might have been a relative of the king—perhaps an identical twin or an illegitimate child—who posed a threat to the crown and was imprisoned to conceal his identity. A nearby resident reported that his dog went wild upon seeing the iron-masked figure.
