Episode Overview

Roy shows up at the Clampett residence with dreams of breaking into show business, but he's short on cash. Jed steps in to support him financially. Meanwhile, Jethro is facing eviction from his office at the Commerce Bank of Beverly Hills, as Mr. Drysdale insists on the overdue $5,000 rent. Jed suggests that Jethro become Roy's agent, but Jethro dismisses the idea, unwilling to represent any country acts. He instead rebrands Roy as part of a group. When the new act flops, both Jed and Mr. Drysdale encourage Jethro to return to country music after Roy's single surprisingly takes off. However, Jethro, having torn up the contract, desperately pleads for Roy to return.
