S07E02 Something for the Queen
Episode Overview
The Clampetts are headed to London to present the Queen with the deed to Canada. Jethro sneaks Elly’s buzzard aboard in a bag, prompting Mr. Drysdale’s curiosity to take a peek. In the restroom, when Mr. Drysdale opens the bag, the buzzard nearly escapes, leaving him with feathers in his hair and flapping his arms like a bird as he returns to his seat beside Jethro. Granny, witnessing this, assumes he has “Goose Fever.” While driving through town, the Clampetts attract attention, and Granny claims it's due to their previous retreat in the War of the Roses during their last visit to England. Upon reaching the castle, Colonel Dumbarton next door fires his sunset cannon and lowers the Union Jack, causing Granny to mistakenly believe the war is reigniting.
