Charlie's band secures a tour, and he invites Joey to join him, but she hesitates to abandon her studies mid-semester. In a bold move, Charlie decides to leave the band to support her, which alarms Joey, who fears they are moving too quickly. She breaks up with him, encouraging him to pursue the tour instead. Meanwhile, Oliver and Dawson arrive in New York to pitch to an agent, but Oliver sabotages their meeting. Dawson threatens to end their collaboration, pleading for a second chance. After the sale of Civilization, Alex Pearls steps in as the new manager, promoting Pacey to head chef while letting Audrey go. Pacey attempts to help Audrey reclaim her position, but ends up sharing an unexpected kiss with Alex.
