Meanwhile, Rich Lewis faces a harrowing situation in Ruby Valley when a violent encounter with a mountain lion puts his lead hunting dog, Brandy, at risk of losing her life—and her hunting career. Marty Meierotto seizes a brief respite from the severe weather to head to the Great Alaskan Range, this time bringing along his wife, Dominique, and daughter, Noah. In the rugged High Desert of New Mexico, we meet Kyle Bell, who is passing on the traditional mountain man skills to his son, Ben.
