Episode Overview
At the St. Gregory Hotel, preparations are underway for the opulent wedding of Maggie Blackwood (MARY CROSBY), from a prestigious San Francisco lineage, and Jeff Strider (BOYD GAINES), the adopted son of computer mogul Gil Strider (STEVE FORREST). As the wedding approaches, Jeff grapples with unresolved feelings toward the mother who abandoned him. Meanwhile, Maggie's father, Lewis Blackwood (ROBERT STACK), is discovered by his wife Eleanor (DINA MERRILL) in a compromising situation with company executive Paula (PATRICIA McCORMACK). Facing financial turmoil due to his partner's shady dealings, Gil seeks help from Mrs. Cabot, who sends over the seemingly out-of-place Teresa Clayborne (VERA MILES). As tensions rise during the wedding rehearsal, Teresa steps in to restore harmony and unite Maggie and Jeff.
