Episode Overview

Peter is confronted by his ex-girlfriend, Lacey Grant, who reveals that he is the father of her four-year-old son and requests that he take custody, as she is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease and may not have much time left. Lacey's boyfriend, Walt, urges Peter to decline custody, as he wishes to raise the boy himself. Lacey doubts Walt's ability to be a single father due to his frequent travels, but he reassures her and proposes, which she accepts. Meanwhile, Billy tries to win Julie over for Ken, a shy coworker, but Julie mistakenly believes Billy is interested in her. Eventually, she discovers Ken is the one who admires her quietly. Additionally, Joanne Maxwell, a successful singer, pushes her ex-husband Danny to return to the stage after overcoming his cocaine addiction. However, Danny struggles with anxiety, and Bix Coleman, the pianist, inadvertently leaves a bag of cocaine in Danny's dressing
