Actress Anna Bronti, adorned with the Star of Kashmir necklace, crosses paths with her former flame, Adam Vidocq, a notorious playboy and jewel thief. Peter, familiar with Vidocq, instructs Billy to keep a watchful eye on him. Meanwhile, Marila Collins introduces herself to Peter, stirring a sense of déjà vu in him. As Vidocq and Anna share a night together, Marila becomes intimate with Peter, both part of a calculated plot to pilfer Anna's jewels. When Peter discovers Marila with the stolen gems, he learns she is Vidocq's daughter. Additionally, Jill Stanton reunites with her husband, Paul, recently released from a mental facility after violent incidents involving her.
