Episode Overview

The hotel is buzzing with excitement as it hosts a beauty pageant featuring contestants like Miranda Harding. Pressured by her mother Barbara, a former beauty queen, Miranda has been competing since she was three. When judge Garrett Rhodes makes advances toward her, she reluctantly complies, believing it pleases her mother. After a heated argument with Barbara, Miranda decides to take control of her own destiny. During the pageant, she boldly announces the judge's retirement and ultimately wins the crown. Meanwhile, Frank "Squire" Vance, a thief with a complicated past with security chief Billy, checks into the hotel. He has his eyes set on clerk Julie and the hotel safe. As Julie finds herself drawn to Squire's charm, he reveals his true intentions, brandishing a gun and forcing her into the vault where Hal, a courier, is handling two million dollars in blank industrial certificates.
