As rumors swirl regarding an assassination plot against Israeli minister Jacob Ben-Goz, security measures are heightened at the hotel where he is set to hold a press conference. Unbeknownst to him, assassin Troy is actually targeting Ben-Goz's advisor, Evan Paige. In a separate storyline, Patricia St. Claire, struggling to make ends meet after her husband abandons her, considers turning to prostitution to cover her mortgage. However, Peter intervenes and helps her land a job at a greeting card company. Meanwhile, Harriet Gold seeks a way to connect with her deceased husband, Morton, with the assistance of her friend Sheila and spiritualist Felicity, hoping to gain his blessing to remarry. Additionally, Dave mistakenly believes that hotel guest Herbert Pitts is a distinguished critic and rolls out the red carpet for him, leaving Pitts, who has often felt overlooked, deeply moved by the attention.
