Lynn Valli, a former hotel masseuse, is on her honeymoon with her Italian husband, Eduardo, but their relationship lacks genuine affection. Eduardo's true love, the married Monica Shawlcross, has hired Lynn to impersonate his wife to facilitate his entry into the country. As Lynn and Eduardo develop real feelings for each other, he faces a difficult choice between the two women. Meanwhile, Christine is thrilled to reconnect with her godfather, Matt Carmichael, after a decade apart. Their reunion turns romantic, but Christine soon uncovers that Matt has been siphoning money from wealthy widows through dishonest hotel bill practices. Additionally, Peter, reluctantly allowing actor Nick Desmond to shadow him for a performance, finds Nick's over-the-top imitation frustrating until a play review finally brings him a moment of joy.
