Episode Overview
As the annual St. Gregory/Mark Hopkins Charity Softball Game approaches, Brian Fox, the assistant manager of the Mark Hopkins Hotel, openly expresses his affection for Christine. Although she has feelings for him, Christine feels his advances are too intense. Taking her advice, Brian adopts a more courteous demeanor, leading to a romantic moment between them. When Brian receives an offer to be the general manager of a luxury hotel in Boston, he invites Christine to join him, but she hesitates due to her commitment to Peter. Meanwhile, Peter is tasked with caring for his friend Mary Tyson's troubled grandson, Randy, who struggles with alcohol. After Peter discovers Randy drinking with friends, a confrontation leads to a serious accident. To help Randy face his challenges, Peter introduces him to a recovering alcoholic teenager who encourages him to attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
