Episode Overview
During Benham Senior Weekend, Coach Jack Allen gathers with a group of students, including five football players and the academically inclined Martin, who often becomes the target of their teasing. When Allen's daughter Beth shows up, she is thrilled to see Martin, but her father discourages their friendship. The football team escalates their bullying, prompting Christine to confront Coach Allen about his behavior. In an unexpected turn, Allen promises to improve. Meanwhile, Brad Carlton, a former Vietnam POW, spots Duong Thanh—a waiter who once tormented him. Concerned about her husband’s mental state, Wendy seeks Peter's assistance. After speaking with Mrs. Thanh, Wendy learns of Duong's traumatic past. When Duong visits Brad, he offers him a bamboo whip, but Brad redirects his anger towards those who sent him to fight. Peter rushes to intervene, alerted by Mrs. Thanh's warning.
