Episode Overview
Helen Johnson (DEE WALLACE), a dedicated professional, tells her younger lover, Gary, that she is ending their relationship as she prepares for a family vacation with her husband and 20-year-old daughter, Monica. In a bid for revenge, Gary meets Monica in the hotel lobby and starts to charm her, prompting Helen to reveal her affair to Monica to thwart the seduction. Meanwhile, new receptionist Cheryl Dolan is caught off guard when her mother, Beatrice, arrives unexpectedly, seeking the independence Cheryl embodies after a fight with her husband. After Cheryl shows Beatrice the downsides of single life, Beatrice decides to return to her marriage. Additionally, Peter faces a near-death experience that shifts his perspective, leading him to reconsider his job and dream of traveling the globe.
