Episode Overview
High school teacher Nancy Rhodes and lounge pianist Kyle Stanton find themselves in a honeymoon suite after a whirlwind week of courtship and marriage. Their happiness is abruptly disrupted when Kyle's stern father, George Stanton, arrives, accusing Nancy of being a gold digger and demanding to know her price for an annulment. Unaware of Kyle's affluent background, Nancy bristles at George's accusations. Soon after, she meets socialite Hilary Sinclair, who introduces herself as Kyle's fiancée, adding to Nancy's distress. Meanwhile, Peter eagerly welcomes his beloved grandmother, Katherine Jenkins, and her lifelong friend Roz Campbell, who is visiting for medical reasons. Unbeknownst to Peter, Roz is actually his biological grandmother, and Katherine reveals a shocking family secret about Peter's lineage, leaving him in disbelief.
