Episode Overview
Maria, Luis, and Elmo are busy picking apples from a tree when Cookie Monster hears a loud, crunchy sound. He eagerly thinks it’s a cookie, only to find out it’s just an apple. Maria and Luis explain that apples grow on trees and reminisce about planting one when they were kids, revealing they’re eating apples from that very tree. Inspired, Cookie Monster dreams of growing his own chocolate chip cookie tree. He plants a chocolate chip in the soil and tends to it with sunlight and water, but nothing grows. When Abby arrives and grants him a wish, her magic causes cookie trees to sprout all around Hooper’s store, but the cookies are too high for Cookie Monster and Elmo to reach. As Elmo assists Cookie Monster, Alan helps Abby come up with a rhyme to make the trees disappear. Just as Elmo is about to grab a cookie, the trees vanish. Thankfully, Maria and Luis treat Cookie Monster to a warm apple cinnamon cookie made from their apples
