Sesame Street (1969)

Episode Overview

Near a garden, Baby Bear panics when a bee buzzes by, as he's terrified of them. Chris tries to reassure him that bees are generally harmless, but Baby Bear insists he wants nothing to do with them. To help, Abby suggests granting him a wish to overcome his fear. She waves her wand, but magic accidentally catches Chris too, transforming both into bees! Abby struggles to reverse the spell while the bees put them to work. Confused about their role, they soon learn from a bee how crucial they are for collecting pollen and helping flowers grow. Later, trapped in a beehive, they discover that bees also produce wax and honey, with honeycombs shaped like hexagons. Once back on Sesame Street, Abby figures out how to revert the spell. With a wave of her wand, Baby Bear and Chris return to normal. Now, Baby Bear is no longer afraid and excitedly shares how amazing bees truly are!
