Sesame Street (1969)

Episode Overview

Wild Nature Survivor Guy unexpectedly arrives on Sesame Street, believing he needs to “survive” in this urban environment. Elmo and Rosita are puzzled, as he’s surrounded by friends rather than wilderness. Undeterred, he spots a tomato plant and takes a big bite, realizing that everything outside Hooper’s store is part of nature. Next, he searches for water and collects drops from leaves to drink. As night approaches, he worries about staying warm, gathering feathers to tuck into his shirt, which tickle him. Elmo offers a coat, but Wild Nature Survivor Guy insists feathers are what keep coats warm. As the sun sets, he discovers Big Bird’s nest, a perfect shelter filled with branches, just like natural homes. Singing a song about nature, he helps Elmo and Rosita see that nature surrounds them everywhere!
