Episode Overview
Elmo and Rosita are pondering rhymes when they hear a soft “Peep, peep.” To their surprise, a tiny baby bird shows up. Eager to assist, they’re puzzled about why the bird is peeping. Chris hears the noise and gently puts the bird in a tree, but it quickly hops onto Chris instead! Thinking the little bird might be hungry, Big Bird suggests giving it some birdseed, his favorite snack. As Cookie Monster strolls by, he’s ready to enjoy his granola cookie, but the baby bird snatches it away! It flaps its wings excitedly, prompting Elmo and Rosita to teach it how to fly. They try several methods, but nothing works until Abby arrives and accidentally casts a flying spell on Chris instead. She realizes that she doesn’t need magic and shows the bird how to flap its wings while singing “The Flapping Song.” Soon, the baby bird takes flight over Sesame Street! Just then, its mother
