Episode Overview

While Elmo and Zoe are busy coloring, they discover it’s Stinky the plant’s birthday. Excited, they decide to get him a gift. Elmo presents Stinky with a drum, but quickly realizes plants can’t hold drumsticks. Zoe then suggests a beautiful tutu for Stinky to wear while dancing. However, Stinky struggles to dance, being just a plant in a pot. Rosita and Cookie Monster show up with their own gifts. Rosita offers a guitar, but Stinky's leaves ruin the strings with a terrible sound. Cookie Monster arrives next with cookies, forgetting that plants don’t eat them. Just then, Big Bird gives Stinky balloons, but they cause him to float away! Thankfully, Chris saves him and brings him back down. Elmo shares their gift dilemma with Chris, who reminds them to consider what Stinky would truly enjoy. Elmo then asks Stinky what plants need. He realizes Stinky has soil, but he needs water, sunlight,
