Episode Overview

Louis XIV desires the nobility to reside alongside him in Versailles, but they must demonstrate their noble lineage to gain this privilege. Montcourt finds himself in trouble, unable to verify his noble status. In a twist of fate, he encounters an enigmatic Duke named Cassel, who offers to assist him. Meanwhile, Louis XIV instructs the Queen to extend a warm welcome to Annaba, an African prince visiting the court.
