Complicating matters, a local senior's hip surgery leads to a lack of female curlers, positioning Lacey as the league's most sought-after rookie. In the midst of this turmoil, Karen is tasked with overseeing the prestigious Clavet Cup, but she soon realizes that protecting the trophy is a far more challenging job than she anticipated.
