Despite Nicki's insistence that he should take on the role of Juniper Creek's new prophet, Bill is focused on pursuing the open Utah State Senate position. Meanwhile, Joey and Wanda make their way back to Juniper Creek, but J.J. is watching them with suspicion. Sarah and Scott decide against a wedding in Bill's church, opting instead for a civil ceremony, which leaves Barb taken aback. Additionally, Margene confronts Nicki regarding her lingering feelings for Ray Henry.
