The High Chaparral (1967)

Episode Overview

An inexperienced bank clerk from the East makes a series of blunders while trying to establish himself on a rundown ranch close to the Cannon family, jeopardizing the local cattle industry. Creed and Meg Hallock’s repeated errors prompt John Cannon to send Buck, Billy Blue, and Manolito to assist them. Creed unwittingly buys a phantom herd and falls victim again when he purchases sick Mexican cattle. To protect the local livestock, John takes drastic action, ordering the diseased cattle to be culled, ultimately leaving the novices in dire financial straits.
