The High Chaparral (1967)

Episode Overview

Billy Blue Cannon is determined to save up for an expensive silver saddle by taking up boxing. When he discovers that Killian and his ranch hands have entered every event at the Fourth of July rodeo to win the saddle, the wranglers from the High Chaparral step in to help Blue, but their efforts fall short. In a bid to raise cash, Blue trains with champion Paddy O'Bannion's opponent for five dollars, only to accidentally break the man’s jaw. Buck persuades Blue that he must face O'Bannion if he wants the saddle, complicating matters when Blue learns that O'Bannion needs the prize money to marry, leaving him conflicted.
