Episode Overview

Title: A Thirsty Gamble Plot: Buck Cannon puts himself at risk by trying to train two Apaches as wranglers. Sourdough and Saddleblanket quickly prove their worth. However, when a band of Apache warriors murders three ranchers and abducts the two wranglers, the rest of the High Chaparral crew doubts their loyalty, believing they’ve reverted to their former ways. The team pursues the war party to an Army fort, where Buck lies gravely injured and out of reach. Struggling with extreme thirst, Buck’s only hope for survival rests on convincing his Apache wranglers to betray their own.
